This is the ELEQ privacy statement and its subsidiaries. This statement explains how we deal with the personal data we obtain through our contact with you. ELEQ is in compliance with the provisions of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

Collected personal data
We do our utmost to protect your data. We need personal data to guarantee our services to you. ELEQ processes this personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide these to us yourself.

ELEQ processes data for the following purposes:
● Providing and invoicing services;
● Sending out our newsletters;
● Processing your order and informing you about the progress of your order;
● Taking measures to improve the service and providing information or proposal.

Minors
ELEQ has no intention of collecting data from persons under 18. Therefore, we offer no services to minors. We encourage parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to avoid the collection of child data without parental consent. If you believe we have collected personal data about a minor without parental consent, please contact us. We will immediately remove the information.

Security
For data transfer, we use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with 128/256-bit encryption. This technique offers the highest level of security and is therefore also used by banks, for example, for data security when online banking. All provided payment methods are extensively protected by the above standard. To ensure that your data is being encrypted before sending, please check for the symbol of a key or closed lock in the status bar of your browser.

Details of website visits
We receive data based on your visit to our website. Cookies are an example of this. We use this data to get a better idea of our customers and to develop our services and website, and adapt them according to your personal preferences.

To measure the business use of our website, we use the Leadinfo service from Rotterdam. This service shows us company names and addresses based on the IP addresses of our visitors. The IP address is not included here.

We use Google Analytics on the website to analyse the site operation and to measure the efficiency of traffic sources. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence on this. We have not allowed Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services. The information Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address is emphatically not given.

Every newsletter contains an unsubscribe link, so that the recipient can unsubscribe immediately. We only use the subscriber file for sending the mailing.

Retention period and inspection
As soon as your service ends with us, we will store some data according to the statutory retention period. We will remove data that is no longer required. After the legal retention period has passed, we will delete all data.

You have the right to inspect the information we have about you after you have terminated your services with us. You may submit a request for access, correction or deletion by contacting us. To be sure that the request for inspection was made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your identity document with the request. Please redact your passport photo and citizen service number (BSN) in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. ELEQ will respond to your request as soon as possible, preferably within four weeks at the latest.
