About the role

As a Senior/Strategic Purchaser, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the purchasing strategy for materials, semi-finished products and raw materials essential to our production. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure stable supply, best value for money and optimal conditions

Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic procurement policy.
• Research and analyze international supply markets to identify opportunities and risks.
• Maintain and build relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices, contracts and terms of supply.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Production, R&D and Planning to thoroughly understand needs and specifications.
• Monitor market trends and innovations to support strategic decisions.
• Create reports and analysis to track and improve procurement performance.

Your profile

• A completed college degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or similar.
• At least 5 years of experience in (strategic) procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to understand market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• A proactive and results-oriented attitude.
• Experience with ERP systems and modern business software.
• Command of English language; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
