ELEQ Acquires 100% of Tefelen Preissinger: A new chapter of innovation and growth

ELEQ to integrate Tefelen Preissinger as its third production site, reinforcing its position in advanced Busbar technology and high-voltage infrastructure.

Steenwijk, The Netherlands / Bischberg, Germany, 12 February, 2026 – The ELEQ Group, headquartered in Steenwijk and specialised in protecting, measuring and connecting electrical energy, has acquired full ownership of Tefelen Preissinger in Bischberg, Germany.

The acquisition marks a strategic expansion of ELEQ’s capabilities in high-power electrical infrastructure, and positions the busbar market as a core pillar within its strategy. By integrating ELEQ’s measurement and protection expertise with Tefelen’s advanced busbar technology, the Group is better equipped to meet the evolving demands of modern power grids, data centres and industrial energy systems worldwide.

Founded in 1946, the ELEQ Group offers a comprehensive product portfolio, including precision transformers, measuring instruments, smart converters and connection boxesfor the energy market – all designed to enhance reliability, efficiency and safety in electricity networks.

Tefelen is a recognised leader in segregated cast resin insulated busbar systems, catering to grid operators, heavy industry and other demanding environments where safety, reliability and engineering excellence are paramount. The company’s deep technical expertise and craftsmanship have made it a trusted partner in high-demand energy environments for decades.

Adressing the challenges of modern grids

As electrical installations become increasingly compact, while carrying higher voltages and currents, conventional cable-based solutions are pushed to their practical and physical limits. Both Tefelen and ELEQ recognise this shift requires safe, more space-efficient, reliable and high-performance alternatives.

Tefelen’s advanced busbar systems provide precisely that — enabling safer energy transmission in constrained spaces while handling growing power demands with greater stability and durability. This makes the acquisition a natural and strategic fit for ELEQ’s future-focused portfolio.

Reinout Getreuer, CEO at ELEQ Group: ”The energy market is changing rapidly and requires highly innovative resources.ELEQ’s broader product portfolio, international reach and operational scale combine naturally with Tefelen’s specialist busbar expertise.

As the fourth generation to lead the company during its 80th anniversary year, Reinout Getreuer sees this acquisition as a defining step in ELEQ;s long-term evolution. Reinout Getreuer: “Together, we create a strong platform for sustainable growth, innovation and closer collaboration with customers across markets.

A phased and thoughtful integration
